KOLOBOK - "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley

In 2010, at the Academy of Arts, we had an interesting assignment in book illustration - an interpretation of the book "Kolobok".
For one of the books, I chose the theme "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley.

Horror book "Kolobok"

Thunder and lightning tore the sky to pieces that night. The mad scientist was creating another of his creatures...
- "He's alive!": the grandfather shouted when something moved on the table.
- "Kolobok - that's what I'll call you".

But something went wrong. The creature roared, gnawed through the straps that held it and, having punched a round hole in the wall, broke free.
Kolobok rolled through the forest, illuminated by a full moon, just as round and lonely as he himself. He was oppressed by the realization that he was neither a man nor an animal, but who knows what with screws.

And at that moment he came across a mad rabbit. For Kolobok, he was no obstacle. So Kolobok rolled on, leaving only a handful of gnawed rabbit bones.

But then a wild bear caught up with him. When the hungry animal wanted to pounce on Kolobok, he got ahead of him and grabbed the beast by the throat! Having finished with him, the round-faced one rushed on his way.

But here on his way he met a werewolf. The wolf breed did not even have time to howl, as his days were numbered.

And at that time Kolobok was already being hunted. And the huntress nicknamed "Red Fox" knew her job well.
Therefore, Kolobok did not even have time to understand what had happened to him when the Fox caught up with him.
The Red kept the screws as a trophy...

The end.
